This year’s “Debrecen Award for Molecular Medicine” has been granted to Michael N. Hall, a leading researcher of the development and treatment of diseases related to human tumors, metabolism, and immunology.

A business forum was organised at Debrecen University, with the participation of the heads of government of Hungary and the Ukraine. The university’s innovative pharmaceutical cluster was also presented at the bilateral meeting.

A professional relationship stretching back over more than twenty five years was the basis for Debrecen University’s award of an honorary doctorate to Péter Kónya, the rector of Prešov University.

After a gap of thirty years, quadruplets were born once again in the Debrecen University Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The birth of the babies was helped by a 12-strong team of doctors.
